Tsuyu, named after the gentle ‘plum rain’ that falls in Japan as the Ume harvest ripens, is a new take on the Saison style. Brewed with the American Jarrylo and New Zealand Motueka hops, Tsuyu is infused with the Ume plum and aged in freshly emptied Coppola winery Chardonnay barrels. The result is a complex and fascinating fusion of East, West and South. Kanpai!
In 2015, COEDO originally released Tsuyu Saison aged in Chardonnay barrels from New Zealand, collaborated brew with Stone brewing, US and Garage Project, NZ. In 2020, COEDO updated the recipe and the beer has been aged for 60 days in Coppola winery Chardonnay barrels from California, US.
