About the brewery



At 8.6, we take great pride in brewing our lagers. To get the intense taste and the high alcohol percentage 8.6 is renowned for, we need the best barley. And lots of it.

Luckily, we have our own malting house where we can prepare and blend barley exactly the way we want it, to have full control over the taste.

The other tasty body builder in 8.6 is bottom fermenting yeast, which gives the beer its lager mark. In massive storage tanks we allow our yeast to flourish to the max – pumping in extra oxygen now and then to boost the taste. For that same reason we don’t just add hop in the end. We blast it in with a hop shotgun. The result is an intensity beyond compare. An intensity 8.6 worthy.
