The team at Brouwerij De Molen aim to release a new, exciting blend that is “off the charts” every six weeks on top of their fixed range of products. Brewmaster Menno Olivier describes De Molen as an “experimental brewery” – this extends to the naming of their stock. Each product is carefully developed and given a label that represents the brewing process, the taste, and its complexity. In exciting news, selected De Molen products will be available for purchase at several retailers and online stores.
Purvis Beer is located in Richmond and offers a massive range of local and imported products. As one of the largest craft beer retailers in Australia, Purvis are well placed to stock the De Molen range. Hemel and Aarde (Heaven and Earth) is a strong, smoky stout. Brewed with heavily peated malt, this beer is crafted to overwhelm the sense with its hit of chocolate and coffee. An imperial stout, Mooi and Meedogenloos means ‘Beautiful and Ruthless’. It is sweet, spicy, and full-bodied with hints of chocolate, brown sugar, and plums. Purvis will also stock Tsarina Esra, an imperial porter with its roots in England and a rich, chocolate and liquorice flavour.
De Molen’s products will also be available at Carwyn Cellars, an independent Thornbury stalwart, supported small breweries and globally renowned beer. Their store will stock Tsarina Esra as well as two barrel-aged imperial stouts – Doom and Gloom and Different and Unusual. Zwaart and Zwaar, which means Black and Heavy, an imperial chipolata stout, will also be available.
