Dating back to 1680, Brouwerij BOON is a traditional lambic brewery situated in the town of Lembeek, near Brussels, Belgium.
Lembeek is considered by many the archetypical home of the Belgian sour beer style, lambic. Today, with more than 2.5M litres of lambic, Brouwerij BOON boasts at present, the largest stock of lambic in oak barrels.
Among these are the Champagne-like, 2-year-old Oude Geuze Boon and more modern fruit lambics such as the Kriek Boon.
Boon is the only brewery to have won six consecutive gold medals at the World Beer Cup (2008,’10,’12,’14.’16,’18).
